We do not offer a structured internship programme in Telenor Denmark. But applications for thesis-cooperation are handled individually and we always appreciate our interest in our company as a case-study.
Traineeprogram
Yes, and not just any programme.
In 2006 Telenor Sweden launched a new way of hiring talent and propelling them to the top – the Executive Trainee Programme. In 2010 CEO of Telenor Denmark, Jon Erik Haug, introduced this concept to the Danish business and today we are looking for the next generation of this highly unique programme. Each year 3-4 executive trainees are found among the most talented of university graduates, chosen to follow one of our executives for one year. A year unlike what other graduate and trainee programmes offer: one year as close to the highest level of decision-making as you can get, before actually becoming an executive.

Educational background of interest for us
For the Executive Trainee Programme we look for high performers of all sorts of backgrounds. Especially we focus on analytical skills and number-crunching abilities. Our executives are faced with many types of issues every day and essential to their decision-making is their ability to use their available data, observations and analysis to make sound decisions. So whether you have a background in marketing, physics, economics or radio engineering matters not as much as your competences in analysing and breaking down an issue, managing large amounts of data and adapting to the issues at hand. As an example, the current executive trainees comes from cand.oecon., cand.merc. IMM and cand.polit., and we aim for diversity in our recruitment, recognising that different angles often give a better perspective.

The Executive Trainee Programme is a leadership programme that educates young talents in the ways of top executives. Thus relevant organisational or work experience is a plus, and we value that you have shown initiative and involvement in your environments, wherever that may have been.
